Cristobal Lopez Trejo
Director of Operations
My aim is to build systems that make financial plans work: withdrawals that are on time, every time, RMDs that are exactly what they need to be, and joy-filled, form filling. In this way, I serve our team and you with efficient processes so that you can focus on what matters most: your wellbeing and legacy.

Trust & Trowel
My roots are from a small village in the state of Zacatecas, Mexico, but I have lived in the Sacramento Area for over 10 years.
During that time, I have completed a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Davis, and an Adult Education Teaching Credential, and am working on a master’s degree. I have also established a residence in Davis known as the Interfellowship House, a home for college students that helps prepare them for independence. And I have been trusted in various professional and personal organizations, to build systems, physical spaces, and ministries that help people.
I am a lifelong learner who enjoys seeing people experience financial and spiritual freedom. Like a builder with trowel and plaster in hand, I work daily with cutting-edge technology to deliver solutions that align with your financial goals.
My way of serving you comes from Jesus’ example, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45)
“Implementing systems that prioritize building you and your legacy up.”
When I’m Not in The Office
I’m still serving, just with a different group of people.
I am part of a new church in the Land Park area called Christ Bible Church. I also teach and preach at The Youth Group, a ministry of City Bible Church, which is located in East Sacramento. And I meet with the youth of Bethel Slavic Baptist Church, which is in the Del Paso Heights Area. I was impacted and cared for greatly as a struggling teen by my youth pastor and his wife, and so I see the value in ministering to the youth of today.
I love learning from and talking to people about life and the Gospel. You can often find me at Old Soul Co. and Temple Coffee Roasters, reading a book and writing things for class, or chatting over a nice cup of hot cocoa.
When I’m not busy with homework, I enjoy driving and taking film photos of the country roads outside of my town, (Davis, CA) while listening to music from The Red Clay Strays, Jimmy Clifton, and others. And I love cooking and spending quality time with friends and family. We’ll eat, watch a movie, play a board game, or just talk.
God has blessed me with a full life, and I live to enjoy it, for the good of the people I serve and for Christ’s glory.
What inspired you to work in financial operations and management?
I have always created and improved systems in whatever professional or personal setting I have been a part of. Doing this in the financial sector brings with it a vista to see how efficiency and smooth processes help people and their legacies.
How do your operational strategies help clients receive better service?
My strategies aim to make things clear and helpful for our advisors and clients. I look to industry developments and time-tested truths to help make that possible.
What do you enjoy most about optimizing processes within a financial firm?
I enjoy the collaborative and educational environment that our advisors have made here. We are a team and we work to optimize processes and systems – together.
How do you ensure ProsperPlan’s operations run smoothly for both clients and advisors?
I like feedback and constant refining. If we can throw a wrench in the system, that means the system still needs some work!
What’s one improvement you’re most proud of implementing at ProsperPlan?
Further improving the orderliness and logic to our Data Gathering Form was great. The reason for this is that I contributed to helping our onboarding process, helping our advisors, and helping our clients. That’s three birds, one stone!
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing or learning about?
I enjoy cooking anything Mexican, Mediterranean, American, and Italian. Basically, a lot of meat and carbs and sauce. I also enjoy reading or watching stories. Some of my favorites include The Lord of the Rings and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
